On my Reading List: The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind

I have heard great things about this book and hope to find time to read it this summer.  It is about William Kamkwamba, a teenager living in Africa who builds a windmill out of everyday items to provide electricity for his family.

Don’t have time to read? You and your students will also be interested in hearing from William.

Watch William talk briefly (0:56) about his book or watch his 6 minute TED Talk or the story “Moving Windmills
