Wind Speed Maps

Wind Navigator enables you and your students to evaluate wind speed data obtained at both 30m and 60m turbine heights for a certain region and/or visually compare regions.  A quick registration is required to access the site.

New wind potential estimates for the lower 48 states based on windNavigator® is now available.  The estimates were produced in collaboration with the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) under the auspices of the US Department of Energy (DOE). They mark the first comprehensive state-level assessment of the onshore wind resource potential since 1993.
